Workplace CSA Program

The American Board of Family Medicine is offering a workplace CSA pick-up for the 2024 growing season. Employees interested in signing up for a bi-weekly or weekly vegetable share can select the ABFM worksite CSA pickup and easily access local, organic produce with Lazy Eight Stock Farm

Read below for an overview of CSA, the farm's CSA share offerings, and how to sign up. If you are already familiar with the Lazy Eight Stock Farm CSA program, select the "sign up for a CSA share" button below to go directly to the farm's website.

What is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?

A local produce subscription where members receive weekly deliveries of seasonal vegetables and some fruits for 21 weeks during the main growing season (May - September).

A model of buying food focused on building community. A participant pays for a share in advance and becomes an important part of the farm for the whole season.

A weekly box or basket of fresh, KY Proud, and certified organic vegetables. The items in a share are harvested at their peak ripeness to maximize their flavor and quality.

What are the Benefits of CSA?

  • Easy access to healthy fresh food and the opportunity to try new foods.

  • Convenience--pick up your share at work or on the way home.

  • Know the farmer who grows your food. Receive regular newsletters and seasonal recipes.

  • Enjoy the health benefits of increasing vegetable consumption throughout the season.

  • Keep more food dollars local.

  • Access to local and organic produce.
